This JP5 electrically operated Fuel Trip Valve presented a design challenge to produce the required special lockout features. Included were both mechanical and electrical lockouts to prevent opening of the fuel trip valve for a period of one minute twenty seconds after closing. Explosion proof push buttons were provided for this actuator.
